Some dates you simply can’t win.
Police police in Melbourne, Australia were left red faced Monday after fully participate in a standoff with perfectly no one.
The police attended the mansion in Melton South at 9:30 a.m. following a tip-off, a Victoria Police spokesperson told Mashable via email. Apparently, the latter are responding to “information regarding person or persons of interest in regard to an ongoing investigation.”
Armed police took “every precaution and attempted to call out to anyone inside the house, ” but after hours of waiting for someone, anyone to respond, police represented their path into the home.
Just, there was no-one actually inside.
“After no response from the belonging the house was registered and cleared about 4.30 p.m. and no dwellers were located inside, ” the spokesperson said.
It wasn’t a completely vain busines, nonetheless, as police hijacked a vehicle and a motorcycle believed to be embezzled. “As the investigation is ongoing it would be inappropriate to comment farther at this stage, ” he added.
Better safe than sorry, we guess.
